Buckland Parish Council is the local decision-making executive for Buckland & Laverton Parish with powers to determine local affairs and budgets in a variety of areas.
We’re a body of local councillors, elected every four years to represent and administer Buckland & Laverton Parish. The council has quarterly meetings, notice of which are displayed in advance on both village noticeboards.
All council meetings are open for the public to observe (although they cannot voice their concerns at this particular forum).
The council elects (and has the power to substitute) the Parish Council Chairperson. This person always represents the whole council and acts as the spoke person for the Parish Council and chairs the council meetings.
